I bought 5 of these thinking I would be getting away from the discomfort of soaked cotton t-shirts under my long sleeve HRC2 henleys over them. It does help in that aspect, but there is a trade off. I wouldn't call these rough, but I wouldn't say these shirts were soft, or as soft as cotton on the skin. Perhaps that is just the nature of FR materials. Still, good additional arc flash protection, and a good fit (they seem to run small, so on the advice of another review, ordered a size up).

The size is true to form. If you have ever felt that FRC is like wearing a shirt resembling fabric that is rough and unable to stay to the form like it was when you first put on, well, this shirt is the absolute opposite of that. The shirt tucks in long so it stays, the sleeves are not too short actually plentiful in length and not restrictive feeling on the wrist, while also not being bulky. This FR shirt would wear well under another long sleeve shirt. Let me assure anyone reading this that I am particular and often finicky so my approval of this product is sincere, and well researched. Compared to many other prior purchases this is what I look forward to wearing that is FR rated. This Drifire shirt is a fantastic way to get away from conventional cotton.

Mid-weight shirt is not too hot even in the 100+ degree summer heat because it dries quickly and breathes well. Also, it doesn't shrink up in the dryer like other brands I've purchased. Will definitely be buying more Drifire flame resistant gear!
